Covid: A life lesson

 

It's been more than a year of this deadly disease and still we are not ready to eradicate the virus but we started living with it. The past year had been very difficult for all of us and every living being has struggled in each way. We have overcome unprecedent challenges and we still are facing horrible things.

We have lost family, friends, many lost their jobs, people lost their shelter and livelihood, students lost their social life, doctors lost their patients, country lost its economy and what not? Covid has indeed thought us a life lesson: whatever happens, life moves on! Life moves on even when your sky falls and stars stops to shine. And we humans will always find an alternate. This might look simple but it is deep. It's an awakening call for the entire human community which reminds us that life is uncertain, and it is also a warning call that warns us to change our habits and live back our ancestor's life which was more healthy and peaceful. All of us lost our normal, social, busy running life due to various restrictions of stepping out. The insatiable desire to breakout becomes the carnival of oppressed, an iconic symbol of ray of hope that sustains the power of imagination and reclaims the space for dream of reality/ normal life which we all crave right now. Things are getting normal, restrictions are revived, before stepping out we should once remember a glimpse of past year and act according to it.

The world was paused and we had some quality time to spend with our family and ourselves. Now the world is resuming and we have to restart it carefully. We are at the end of  the second wave and health experts forecasts a third one too. If we are to carry only one thing for the life ahead, let it be HOPE! Let it be hope that we can get through even the toughest times. Let it be hope that brings back our good old days back. Let it be hope that we live back our normal life. Let is be hope that makes us stronger. Let it be hope that brings us all together, united.. Because during these times, hope will be the very thing that carries us through!
